♡ Nightwear ♡

Chemises, slips, robes and nighties, lace and silk...why, a girl is just spoilt for choice.

Are you guilty of spending every waking moment in stained, hole-ridden, ugly but oh-so-comfy sweats and pyjamas? Me too.

But I just started watching Gossip Girl (absolutely amazing show, I'm on season three) and look how lovely Blair's sleepwear is...

Point proven. I thought it was about time I do some serous internet shopping. I came out with a few more expensive and a few cheaper options for gorgeous nightwear. I will no doubt be purchasing some of these...

Both H&M - left / right

The Stella McCartney one is the exact one Blair wears in the show, for any Gossip Girl lovers like me.

FYI: There are also some pretty inexpensive options at forever 21

Hope you enjoyed reading this little post and now have an obsession bordering mine with pretty sleepwear!

What do you prefer - snug, or sexy?

♡ August Favourites ♡

It's been a while since I've done a favourites post, so I thought I'd give it  a go!

1. MAC Lipstick in Shy Girl (Cremesheen) / A lovely pinky nude shade which is perfect for everyday / school. It's been getting a lot of use from me recently!

2. MAC Eyeshadows in Smut (top) and Sketch (bottom) / Two lovely additions to my MAC eyeshadow palette. Both lovely contour colours and I especially love Sketch on brown eyes.

3. Naked Basics Palette / I picked this up mid-August and haven't put it down since. The perfect variation of shades for everyday to night-time looks, all matte and gorgeous. Pigmentation is great. This is overly raved about so if you want more detail I recommend looking up a review!

4. China Glaze Nail Polish in Velvet Bow / A gorgeous dark red - great for transitioning from Summer to Autumn.

5. NARS (mini) Blush in Deep Throat / Found a mini of the blush to try out and I absolutely love it! Would really recommend this colour to anyone who's thinking about trying it.

All products are linked in the italics :)

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

♡ 5 Life Lessons from Clueless ♡

Aah, Clueless. The 90's era of Mean Girls. Cher Horowitz is undoubtedly Regina George's match. It's a movie that almost every pre-teen/teenage girl has seen and loved. I idolised Cher since the very first time I watched the movie, but it's still one of my faves. After all, there were some very important life lessons that I learnt from Clueless.

1. Don't trust mirrors.

What a welcomed relief it is to realise that not only do we all stare into mirrors, wary of our expanding waist-lines and ill-fitting clothes, so does Cher! In the movie, she tells Dionne she doesn't trust mirrors and therefore only takes Polaroids of her outfits. Unfortunately I don't have a polaroid camera, but that's what selfies are for. 80% of my camera roll is outfit pictures, and I still don't trust mirrors.

2. Physical Education is a waste of time.

We've all sat through endless, droning PE lessons of little actual exercise but predominantly lectures from over-weight PE teachers. Cher says that she 'didn’t even work off the calories that are in a stick of Carefree gum’ in her PE lesson, as we can all relate to.

3. Boys dress like shit.

As rightfully said; "it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair – ew – and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we’re expected to swoon? I don’t think so.” We all agree. What happened to well dressed men in our generation?

4. Analogies make everything sound smarter.

And don't we all love to sound smart? Some of Cher's greatest include; 'finding boys in high school is like searching for meaning in a Pauly Shore movie' and that you can compare someone to a Monet: 'from far away they’re OK, but close up they’re just a big old mess.' Genius. I'm not proud to admit that some of these may have gone into my English essays.

5. Never accept a first offer.

When Cher’s daddy asked her where her report card was, she obviously told him it wasn’t ready. She told him “some teachers are trying to low-ball me, Daddy. And I know how you say ‘never accept a first offer,’ so I figure these grades are just a jumping off point to start negotiations.”  What a great stalling method. Plus, she improved her grades on every semester. Legendary. Never seemed to work when I tried it, however...

Plus, various boy advice and how to dress like a queen.

What are your favourite parts of the movie Clueless?

Thanks for reading!

♡ Phone Candy #3 ♡

Continuing the mini-series documenting my obsession with cute phone cases..

(See the previous posts here and here)

I got this phone case on eBay (search: melting dripping phone case) and I'm in love with it! It's this gorgeous pastel pink colour with this unique 3D dripping effect and a white base which you can actually detach - making it more durable than a normal phone case. It also wraps around the front of your phone - as seen is photo 3 - which I like as it protects the top part of the phone from scratching etc. Please excuse my shattered screen :( I'm getting it fixed as soon as I can...

Hope you enjoyed this post!

♡ My Top 5 Most Re-Purchased Products ♡

We all have those products we tend to fall back on and re-purchase again and again and again. I think it shows a quality product that you really love...and if not, maybe just a bad habit. Either way, here's my top five.

1. Aussie Leave-In Conditioner

I've probably been through at least six bottles of this stuff since I first discovered it. I love it because it helps my ombre (bleached and therefor damaged) ends remain soft and smooth and as well conditioned as the rest of my hair. It also smells like heaven and is pretty inexpensive, so that doesn't hurt either.

2. Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer

This one has been done to death so I'll keep it brief - great coverage, extremely cheap, nice shade match to my skin. Fab.

3. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Again, really cheap, nice packaging, good quality product, sets my makeup and keeps it matte all day unlike many other powder's I have tried. No-fuss-no-mess (pressed over loose any day). Couldn't ask for more from a face powder!

4. Maybelline The Falsies Mascara (waterproof & regular)

For some reason nothing beats this formula for me. It reminds me greatly of a cheaper alternative to They're Real by Benefit which is one of my all time faves. However, I can't really justify spending that much on a mascara every month or so. So pocket-friendly Falsies it is.

5. The Body Shop Body Butters (various)

Hands down the best moisturisers for the money. They come in huge tubs and last ages, as well as smelling literally delicious. My favourites are Coconut and Chocolate.

There you have it! Hope you enjoyed :)
